North Carolina Golf
 The Tar Heel State has a coastal region that is relatively flat and as you travel inland it gives way to rich hilly farmland. The far western section of the state is covered with the majestic mountain ranges of the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge Parkway is called "America's Most Scenic Highway".
 Cape Hatteras and Cape Lookout National Seashores include 150 miles of preserved shoreline. Charlotte is the banking capital of the Southeast and the Charlotte Motor Speedway is one or the nations's finest NASCAR facilities. The city is host to the Charlotte Hornet basketball team and the National Football Leagues Carolina Panthers. Culturally, this laid back city is home to many art events including the well known April Springfest.
 The state has eight ski areas; Jockey's Ridge is a popular hang gliding spot and the tallest sand dune on the East Coast. From Aberdeen to Zebulon, North Carolina has over 100 courses including the famous Pinehurst area which boasts more than 40 classic and signature golf courses, landscaped with towering hundred-year-old pines, native azaleas, holly, wisteria and dogwood.
